Today, there are a small but growing number of methods for 3D printing with composites, including those reinforced with strong-but-light carbon fibers. Embedding polymers with fibers during the 3D printing process is a natural evolution for additive manufacturing, but some methods hold more promise than others. This presentation will discuss a new 3D printing process, Selective Lamination Composite Object Manufacturing, for 3D printing composites.
