While head-worn AR equipment is not likely to be feasible, or at least not preferable, for some years on large assemblies – in limited applications it can provide value to assemblers of complex systems. This is especially true in confined spaces. In addition to the head-worn AR device itself, CAD model imports, work sequencing, MES and PDM integration are all essential elements of a system that would be usable in an aircraft assembly process. This presentation will discuss how those elements are all integrated. A demonstration of the technology will be included in the presentation.
