Day1 was funded to develop the modeling and analysis methodology to accurately predict springback on a bonded honeycomb sandwich assembly with multiple materials, part details, and cure cycles. This presentation focuses on a discussion of the analysis methodology for parts of increasing complexity, compares model predictions to the fabricated parts, addresses challenges associated with comparing full-field experimental and modeling results, and describes future plans and scale-up activities.
