Standard operating procedures (SOPs) will save you. Develop SOPs and follow them. Short cuts will kill time and quality, every time. Murphy’s Law – what can go wrong WILL go wrong (and it will). Take precautions. Don’t mess with a good thing. Yes, it could be better. Is it working? Is it making money? Don’t play around; it WILL cost you. Always verify. This will save you. Parts, material, face – these are all at risk when you do not verify. Always read the print – and the fine print. If you don’t remember doing it – do it again. Finish what you start. It is not a short cut to stop before the finish line. Sometimes Plan A does not work; have a Plan B (and Plan C if possible).
