Due to a production process that eliminates the need for a master mold and heat treatment cycle, HyVarC molds have a 20% shorter manufacturing time. Data will be presented on the machinability and resurfacing of the composite layup surface, which allows for rapid modifications, new features or contours. Thermal cycling and testing will show that vacuum integrity and dimensional tolerances are superior to traditional developmental molds.
