This study investigated an out of autoclave prepreg comprising of USCpreg resin format and vinyl hybrid resin, designed for co-cured scarf repairs performed in the field. The mechanism by which through thickness air evacuation allowed by USCpreg format decreases void content was observed. The room temperature stable vinyl hybrid resin performance was compared to a currently used epoxy resin. A panel fabricated using standard bagging with a USCpreg formatted vinyl hybrid prepreg was compared to a wet laid epoxy prepreg with double vacuum debulk processing.
