COL Jeffery W. Jurand is a basic branch U.S. Army Armor officer commissioned through Vanderbilt University ROTC program in 1998. He served in various Armor assignments including a combat deployment as Tank Company Commander in Iraq. Following his redeployment in 2007, COL Jurand transitioned to the U.S. Army Acquisition Corp and held various positions with the Army Research Laboratory, Joint Special Operations Command, and the Program Executive Office (PEO) for Combat Support & Combat Service Support. He is currently assigned as the Project Manager XM30 Combat Vehicle, in PEO Ground Combat Systems, at the Detroit Arsenal, in Michigan. COL Jurand earned a B.S. in Engineering Science from Vanderbilt University and an M. Eng in Project Management from University of Maryland, College Park. He attended the U.S. Army War College Fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA in 2019-2020 where he studied Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
